13 years. I read a few posts I wrote in the past, especially the unpublished ones and it feels a little strange. When we were much younger, a heartbreak or a fallout could affect our emotions so much, our emotion felt like a roller coaster. But now, I can handle my emotions much better.
This is the little spot at UK, Liverpool near the school and my hostel. I love their breakfast.
A lot of things have changed. Games don’t interest me as much anymore but when I do play, I still get so obsessed that I will end up staying late a few nights just to complete all levels ASAP. Maybe because I have many things to do so I need to play fast.
I’m now in my final year of studies and my results are good. Of course, with help from some of my classmates. Thinking back, I used to skip school often and even just passing felt lucky. I did enjoy some of the essay I wrote, like the one I did for UK but school life been really stressful, with 7 modules in a semester there are days that I stayed up the night just to submit it on time. Sleep deprivation, that's me. I hope next semester will be better, with enough rest, lesser stress and more time for myself and my loved ones.
I still keep in touch with some friends and some are still as close. I’ve also met many new friends and people along the way, whether is from my workplace or from different fields. Even my professors in school have helped me see things from a different perspective.
I should not have drink Chagee in the evening, recently I am so into their drink and now I cannot sleep.
If you happen to come across this post, whether we’re still in contact or not, I hope you’re doing well.

It’s finally my birthday, 31th, the last day of Jan. Peijin came over to my house in the morning and waited outside for me while I went to get my bag. To my surprise, there’s a lot of post- it notes pasted all over the wall as well as the lift, wishing me happy birthday, that silly girl. We went to China Town for Korean BBQ and she was BBQ-ing the food for me, feeding me so much that I’m treated almost like a princess.
The two of us shopped along the street for some Chinese New Year goodies right after we are done with our meal. I then went back home to put down the Samsung galaxy Tab 2 that she gave me, as well as taking out the post-it notes as it’s Illegal to paste something like that, may be fine up to $2000 in Singapore lol, what a fine country.
The two of us decided to meet up again in the evening, headed over to Old School Delights for dinner, located at 215M Upper Thomson Road. Old School Delights is a restaurant decorated like a classroom with chalkboards on both sides, even their menu comes in an exercise book, with 80s games placed on your table to play with as well. She was laughing, telling me how lousy I am with the five stone, pot calling the kettle black tsk tsk. The food there is good, I like their butter cake. We then went Yishu North Point to get some New Year Hamper. I had quite a hard time carrying it because it’s not only heavy but big-sized. I’m so afraid I might break the bottles of bird nests accidentally if I wasn’t careful enough, nerve-racking (or nerve-wracking) task indeed.
Lastly, Peijin not only gave me a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, but Chinese New Year goodies, and bed sheet as well. I know she tried to put in effort for me, and she might not know I actually appreciated it a lot, in my heart. In fact, everyone that celebrated for me this year, I'm really thankful. Birthday is just another normal day, but it's special because they makes it happens. Thanks for the treat, Thanks for the presents, Thanks for everything, Thank you guys. I assume they read this, good night :)

Homie and I went Coastal Settlement located near Changi Village to celebrate my birthday. We alighted at the wrong stop so we gonna walk quite a distance before reaching the restaurant. The ambiance and 80's concept of the restaurant is pretty good. I had T-bone steak which cost me $42.30. I don’t know what they did to the steak because it’s tasted really salty.
We then cabbed down to Frienzie Bistro Bar at Punggol East. The ambiance is good as well, so well that I’m getting sleepy, especially with the songs that keeps playing in the background, almost like a lullaby.
Aizhen surprised me by coming over right after her holiday trips. She bought me a strawberry cake because I told her I was craving for one few weeks ago. In this case, it means I get to make birthday wishes as early as today. My birthday wishes has been the same for many years. However, I decided to make some changes this year.
Everyone decided to walk home since it’s getting late. While on the way home, Yangzi dropped her earring on the dark sidewalk thus everyone was trying to find her missing earring using the help from the flashlight application in our phone, almost like a crew of CSI (Crime Scene Investigation). Despite searching high and low, we still couldn’t find it anywhere.
I’m happy that everyone turns up to celebrate my birthday for me. Good night.

My arm feeling numb and pain due to the booster shot I had this noon, I’m glad it’s the last booster shot, like finally. I met up with Ashley for lunch at Ave 8 before heading to the clinic. I feel so dumb for not knowing he’s going to get me an ipad Mini as my birthday gift despite helping him to choose an ipad Mini casing online just few weeks ago. I noticed my name engraved at the back of the ipad while settling up the account. Come to think of it, he asked how I liked my name to be few days back as well, now everything that he asked makes sense.
Hmm.. what kind of app should I download..

Attended Wedding dinner of cousin Yuting and Angie at “My Humble House”, located at Esplanade. We are served individually and I liked the food there especially the “Double boiled Fish Maw in Seafood consommé”, it’s so refreshing and smooth. Yum Yum! I finished whatever is on the plate other than the steamed fragrant rice in lotus leaf because I’m really full to the max.
There’s even live band there which we gets to delicate songs! I realise I kinda liked places with live band lately, wonder why. Then they were singing “oppa gangnam style” for the last song and the uncle sitting behind me was dancing which I really LOLL! Somewhat, I can feel my ear drum almost blasting whenever he speaks to me. He must have thought he’s at some disco maybe? Haha.
Sesame Chicken Roulade, Chilled Spicy Chicken with Jellyfish, Freshly Peeled Prawn with Honeydew, Seafood Dumpling, Crabmeat with Watermelon
Double boiled Fish Maw in Seafood consommé, served in Young Coconut
Szechuan Style tiger Prawn in Chinese Wine accompanied with Cigar Bun
Oven-baked Fillet of cod Fish with Japanese Sake
Crispy Chicken with Spicy and Sour Sauce
Braised Whole Abalone accompanied with Spinach Tofu
Tofu Mousses accompanied with Cream of Avocado
P.s: I did not manage to take the photo of "Steamed Fragrant Rice with Preserved Meat in Lotus Leaf" because my phone blank out by itself all of the sudden. :/
Happy Birthday Ai Zhen!
Your cheese cake seems delicious, can I have a bite? :B

Haha.

Busy Selecting Songs
Vivien & Me / Vivien & Jasmine
Vivien and I went Jasmine’s house for dinner then headed to Kbox since they having this $10 promotion. I personally feel that the three of us are creating noise pollution in the kitchen, one minute arguing what ingredient to add, next minute fighting over seasoning matters, but Emelyn (Jasmine’s sister) didn’t complain so I guess we are still okay?
It’s already 9pm when we reached KBox, the staffs in charge gave us a big room despite there’s only three of us. I don’t like Kbox removing the remote control, because now, we have to select our song through that small screen which is very troublesome. With remote, we can stop the song anytime we want without getting up from our seat. sigh, why did they took it away..
Anyway my throat already feeling very dry and terrible even though I didn’t sing many songs, must be all the shouting and screaming… and I keep can’t sit still because the mattress just make me feel like jumping and running around.. :/ So while the two of them keep complaining cold, I’m actually sweating. They say I'm mad, but hello, I think we are all equally mad lol, just that in different ways ...heh.

Hosts, Bryan Wong & Kym Ng
S.N.A.P. (熠熠星光总动员), a new variety show, debuts 20 Sept 2012 Thursday Channel 8 at 8pm. The hosts Kym Ng, Lee Teng, Bryan Wong and Zhou Ying will split into two teams to carry out different task on searching cutest babies and other topics in different episode.
So in this particular episode, they are searching for babies, so my cousin and I went Jurong Point hoping my niece, Serene would be able to take part. Anyway, there are really too many people crowding round the hosts, hoping their babies would get chosen by the host and then process to the final round. You would be able to see those parents carrying their baby, following the host and of course, we do the same thing and at one point, I’m totally stuck at one corner, sigh. I keep trying to avoid the camera because I can’t imagine if I were to see myself getting pushed to one corner, then standing there helplessly when it air on TV.
OMG! CAN’T IMAGINE THAT HAPPENING! LOLL!

It’s Nicholas Lim’s 23rd birthday and we celebrated it by fulfilling his craving, “steamboat on a raining day!” Although it didn’t rain but I bet everyone still had a great time, all the grilling of fish, chicken and potato. Ai Zhen and Yang Zi helped me with most of the cooking, pitting up my bowl with cooked food, which is good because the food tastes nicer somehow and since I’m sitting in a position where it troublesome for me to reach out for the food.
We walked down the street for “KOI” with our bloated stomach. I don’t drink “KOI” so I just watch them drinking. Then as usual, we present Nicholas his birthday cupcake follow by some photo taking session after that. I don’t really wanted to take photos because my big pimple had been staying on my face since don’t know how many weeks, but I still took some with the group to keep as memory. Heh.
Nicholas told us he always had bad luck whenever his birthday is near…
Well, hopefully his luck would get better now after the celebration.
Happy Birthday!!

| Our Dinner!! |
Having dinner with Ai Ming, Rui Ming and Grace! We wanted to have steamboat in the first place but can’t find any at AMK thus decided to have this instead. It’s the 2nd time Grace and me been to this particular coffee shop, and she always order “Curry Fish Head” because of the curry sauce, leaving the fish behind for others. Guess it’s about the same where some people would like their “Green Bean Soup” without green bean, “Chicken Rice” without chicken. lol. Anyway, the curry taste really delicious, It's like, I don't mind finishing up 3 whole plates of rice with just curry.
I met up with Nicholas and Cherron for “Step Up Revolution” movie after that, at AMK Hub. The movie was okay, just that the storyline, predictable. Alright, gonna head to bed, tired. Nighty.
Nothing lasts forever, letting go doesn’t mean giving up, but rather accepting that there are things that cannot be. The fact that I'm accepting it now, it's time to put everything to a stop, finally.
I shouldn't try so hard, after so many years, I don’t know how I manage to not putting it down, but at least, it’s over now.

Celebrating my belated birthday with Ruiming, beside lunch and dinner, we went on board RMS Titanic! It’s the artifact exhibition happening at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) with real objects and real stories. The ship first set sail in 1912 so it’s going to be their 100th Anniversary. You will get a boarding pass of an actual passenger before you enter and it took us 3 hours to finish viewing the exhibition.
 |
| Boarding Pass |
There are First and Third class cabins, the Grand Staircase and many other more locations of the Titanic itself to visit. I’m feeling kind of emotional as I read the stories of some passengers as well as the crew, especially when I’m at the Iceberg section and after done watching the documentary.
Entering First Class Cabin
 |
| First Class Cabin, luxurious suites |
 |
| Third class cabin, engines noise can be heard at all time |
Anyway, there are “Steel-eating bacteria” which is feeding off the Titanic under the ocean so the wreck might be reduced to nothing in a period of 40 to 60 years later. Overall, this exhibition is really great because you can learn more about the construction of Titanic as well as how the famous ocean-liner sank in the middle of the Atlantic and many more. Get your tickets before the exhibition ends.
Alright, after we are done with the exhibition, we went Suntec "Sizzler" for our dinner. Looking at my stomach, I wonder how many sit-up I got to do in order to get rid of my tummy. I had been eating so much lately lol.
Before heading to bed, I just wanted to say that, I really feel happy and appreciate for friends and relatives that took out their precious time just to celebrate my birthday for me, they really make my day a special one, really appreciated, Thanks for the treat, Thanks for the presents, Thanks for everything, Thank you guys. I assume they read this, good night :)
